clever debit card?

Isn't this along the lines of other cash back cards that give a certain % of purchases as cash back (see the Financial Best Buys forum for more details) except that it is less generous (e.g. unless you make lots of €0.99 purchases on your credit card then you will definitely be getting less that 1% back).
 
if I understand this properly, it sounds like a terrible idea to me. The bank is simply transferring a certain amount of money (the "change") from one's checking account to one's savings account. All that the user gains is the interest on the savings....whatever rate that is? Furthermore, we're talking about really small amounts of money here. Better off using something like an AMEX blue card that gives you 1% back on whatever amount you spend.
