Clearing credit card debt - query

Hi All,

I have just been approved for a personal loan with AIB to consolidate my personal loan (€7k) and credit card debt (€7k) into one loan. I signed the necessary paperwork in a branch today and I was just wondering how long it shall take for the transaction to go through??? Will they automatically clear the cc and just add the balance onto the loan???
