Hi I have just bought an antique brass lectern H74"xW17" (max) It has a lot of detail and needs to be cleaned anyone know where I could get it done it looks like it would be very difficult to do by just using Brasso.is there something that could be poured on and washed off?

I`ve heard terrible stories about Coke.

It can ruin your stomach, make you fat, give you spots

But it can be used for cleaning things like brass if you put a bit of Coke into a glass then put a dirty penny (or any dirty old coin) for a couple of mins it brightens them up a treat.

Not sure if you can drink it after though but it`d probably be safer.

But the ads used to say that things go better with coke; maybe they just meant the tarnish on brass.

It leaves brass gleaming, if it leaves any brass at all.

I think the man who first started advertising coke had brass bits and I doubt very much he cleaned them with coke.
