Has anybody done this? I did it for the first time over the weekend and boy is it fun! Now I want a shotgun all of my own and maybe a small farm littered with wildlife! He he!
No, just kidding - but it sure is a whole lot of fun. Can't wait to do it again.

Up in Blessington - lovely place.

The shooting is sheltered too as you stand under a roof so the weather makes no odds.

I did it once and loved it although I ended up with a bruise on my cheek from the gun! I did it in Courtlough.

Yeah, i have a bruise on my shoulder alright - i think maybe i wasnt holding the gun in tight enough. Its no big deal really.
Looked up the Courtlough site yesterday - looks like a good spot too.

I've done it too. It ended badly. I had a bruise under my shoulder/arm, smoke got in my eyes, and I didn't hit a single one - well at least intentionally- I did hit one with my eyes closed but my gloating brothers reckoned that didn't count.

You could try giving laser clay pigeon shooting a try. That way, you don't get the bruises, but you also miss out on the satisfaction of watching the clay disintegrate.
