Classic Mini Running problem

My classic mini starts to stutter along after it has warmed up. I have checked the plugs, HR leads, points, fuel line, all seem o.k
A bloke passing by while I was looking under the bonnet suggested it might be the ignition coil needs replacing.
Any suggestions
p.s I only have a basic knowledge of engines

the first thing i would check is the emissons as it is probably running a little rich which would cause it to run a bit rough after it has warmed up as it is getting too much fuel. the old minis need regular tuning like points and dwell and emmisions as they are a little tempremental
i spent alot of years under minis as an apprentice and did alot of cursing but there good fun .

Had the emissions checked and they are fine had an engine rebuild about 2000 miles ago an dits been running like a dream til now, but know what you mean about being tempremental .
