Would need a bit more detail on what tax - Income Tax on earnings, VAT, etc.
Assuming it is income tax - what periods were you working in the UK? Are you an Irish resident?
Its my dp thats wants to claim it back, he worked there for 10 yrs he moved back to Ireland in Dec 2005. He is wondering how to go about claiming back income tax for 2003/2004&2004/2005.
As far as I'm aware, the only income tax you can claim back from the UK is whatever, if any, excess tax you paid in the year before leaving the UK.
Basically, if you left the UK part of the way through the tax year, you may have overpaid tax because your tax credits are automatically spread over the 12 months and you only got to use a portion of your entitlement.
