How do these operate in the real world?
If one has an MBNA card affiliated to a company who pays on the points? Is it split between the companies?
I have an MBNA card affiliated to a company for about 8 months. Each month the statements stated that the relevant points were transferred over to the insurance company.
When I went to renew my insurance policy and claim my points worth just over €100 they didn't exist. I chased it with MBNA - it was a learning experience :
Because I was not able to claim my points on the renewal date, as a goodwill gesture MBNA agreed to credit my credit card a/c with the value of the points - €100 + and also stated they would transfer the equivalent in points to AXA within 28 days - so I should be able to use this on my renewal date next year. So, kudos to MBNA in the end.
Does anybody else have one of these MBNA cards affiliated to a company and how does it generally operate?
