claiming of pension funds

My father passed away on the 3rd Jan 2014 and I have learned that there's pension fund money that is due for payment what must I do to claim the money, we are not using same surname as he was not married to my mom and I have siblings as well who want to claim with me from my father's other relationships

You have to notify the insurance company with a copy of his death cert and probate so they know where the money is to be paid to.

If it is a company pension, you must notify the trustees. They will pay the money where appropriate, usually to spouse or partner unless there is a reason to pay it somewhere else.
