As my husband has reached the age of 65 last month (Dec '07), we're looking about the feasibility of applying for repayment of DIRT, using the Revenue Form 54D.
However, among the questions, there's one seeking information about Income from all other sources - e.g. UK Pension, US Pension, Farming, Fees, rents, etc.
If my husband were to declare having received some rent (which had already been declared during Self-Assessment and tax already paid up in the previous year), will he be grilled once again about that?
Don't know if it's worth going through that process, just to recover DIRT amounting to around 60 euros?
Anyone on the forum ever tried claiming repayment of DIRT?
thanks,
