I recently bought a number of tickets for a foreign event but then left them at home by accident when travelling over - I know, I know! I was unable to get them reprinted or cancelled by Ticketmaster. I bought them on my credit card and also have travel insurance - would it be possible to claim back something from either CC or travel insurance?
