Hi all,

Thinking about buying in this estate, any potential issues to be aware of?

Re: Churchfields Ashbourne

Hi,

A friend of mine moved to Churchfields last year. He is happy there, the only thing he said to me is that the water isnt great. I think he said there is a lot of limescale in the water or something.

A lad I work with moved there early this year and he doesnt have any issues with the area either.

Hi

I have had an offer accepted in the Churchfields area and on the brick on the front of the house the bricks at the bottom seem discoloured or wet. Only noticed it in a photograph I took. Has anyone else had this problem in the area? I'm just worried it's dampness.

Hi, I live in Ashbourne. The limescale in the water is an issue throughout the town but not a major problem and houses don't need a water softener or anything. And I know many people in Churchfields and none of their houses have dampness. It's a lovely estate and a really nice town.

Thanks for the reply.
I can obviously get it checked during the survey and snag but I just wanted to see if it was a major problem.
