Any suggestions as to where I can buy a chrome strip to cover the gap where a wooden floor and tiled floor meet. I have tried the usual places such as Woodies, B&Q, Des Kellys, Brooks Thomas but their products aren't long enough. I need one that is 2.7mtrs long and in chrome finish.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks

The ideal would have been to put in a quarter round strip with a foot extending under the last course of tiles when the tiles went down. Are you able to slide same under the wooden floor and glue in place? If so this can be sourced from any tile outlet.

The problem with petrolhead's solution is that this exposes the cut edge of the timber flooring. You can get aluminium cover strips which will suit your application although I'm pretty sure they only come in 2.4m lengths (maybe a specialist supplier can source longer strips). I wouldn't see a problem with having a join in the strip, if it was carefully placed and executed.

I got mine from a trade shop in glasnevin industrial estate opposite woodies..you dont have to be trade to buy there and its a lot cheaper than other retail shops!May have longer strips to suit what you need!

U can get a "U" stip, it backs onto the tiles and the edge of the timber slides into the U so that is hidden
Got ours in a timber flooring place
