Christening gift ideas for Godson?

Hi,

Looking for gift ideas /suggestions on what to buy Godson for his christening. Traditional or not so traditional ideas welcome!

When my godson was being christened his parents asked me to buy the christening candle for him . I also opened an account for him and put some money into it. Everyyear for his borthday/christmas I lodge some money in and also buy him a gift
 
Very good ideas there, and money will always be welcome. Another idea-you could get a photo frame engraved with name and date of christening. Some jewellers have a nice range of presents like that, say Newbridge Silver for example.
 
I bought Prize Bonds for my godson...

Oh, and try to get hold of a newspaper published on the day of his birth... I found that to be greatly appreciated!...
