China holiday - and atms

Hi

Normally on holiday I bring a small amount of cash and then use credit card to take money out while away (instead of bringing travellers cheques). What is situation in China like re ATM machines - is it easy to find them. will be vising Beijing, Xiaan and Shanghai.

No problem with ATM's in cities. I travel reasonably frequently to China and never bring any cash - you can't get Yuan in Irish banks anyway!

No problem at all .. sometimes some of the smaller local banks won't take international ATM cards but it's always easy enough to find ATMs from the Larger Chinese banks or International banks like Citi or HSBC where you wont' have a problem
