Child Benefit & 2nd child with different surname to 1st?

i have one older son , now pregnant many years later.my son has my second name, i want baby to have my name and dads name hypenated. will that complicate Childrens Allowance? please advise

I don't think that the name has anything bearing on the CB/ECS claim.

It should not - what matters is the child's PPSN and you should get this automatically on registration of the name as far a I know.

BigMama, there is no difficulty with your children having different surnames for CB or ECS.

My own niece and nephew fall into this category and there has never been any problems.
