Chess for Dummies

Did any member buy this for Christmas?

I purchased one in Easons in Cork. It was in a sealed box. When opened, there were only 7 black pawns. Box returned to Easons this morning and replacement box was given without any problem. however, on opening the box a few moments ago, we find that again there are only 7 black pawns.

Am I unlucky, followed by unlucky?????

Suggest you exchange this one with only 6 pawns in it.

Good idea.

However, I think I will run with the receipient's suggestion that I check the box in the morning before I leave the shop!
