Cheque Lodgement

Lodged a cheque to Permanent TSB last Tuesday. How long does it take to show up in A/C given Good Friday and Bank Holiday..

It should have appeared in your account the day you lodged it.

OP might be talking about cleared funds ? Could take 5 working days if cheque is drawn on an account from a different bank eg AIB

Yes it's in A/C but waiting to clear so probably be tomorrow.

I think that may well be optimistic. I've a PTSB account and on the couple of occasions I've lodged cheques it took over a week for the funds to clear.

Yeah it was lodged last Tuesday only for Good Friday it would have cleared earlier

Hi newbie,
It will clear on Wednesday. It takes 5 working days, the lodgement day Tuesday is counted as one plus Wednesday & Thursday, your missing Friday & Monday so the next working day is Tuesday & then Wednesday which is the 5th working day.
