Cheltenham Tips

I could never understand the Irish preoccupation with getting horse racing tips from sources such as this. "A man in the pub who knows X", "a guy on a website who won £100 last Tuesday", "the woman next door whose best friend reads tea leaves" etc etc.

Any thoughts?
 
All about knowing to what to do with the information you've been presented with.

I like to get tips from as many sources as possible and then deciding who to bet on.

So with everyone being an "expert" at Cheltenham time, how do you distinguish between good and bad tips?
 
Any 'tip' I've ever had for Cheltenham ended up backing a loser... I'd be better off to put a blindfold on and stick a pin in the racing post.
 
I’m not too well up on the horses but I’ve gone for this accumulator:

owner of Boylesports is driving a new 07 Rolls Royce. That about sums up the betting game for most punters. if you go into the boylesports site they show the larger bets they took on various races. I would hazzard a guess that on race 3 alone they made over €1 million profit. so how much did paddy power make? double that probably. but having said that I really enjoyed Cheltenham today. didn't get to the bookies this morning and keep my account for football bets only. loved the way the owner of the 2nd winner ( my way de solzen) told the interviewer before the race that he would be happy with 4th place. talk about taking the mickey!
 
well i have backed launos from 12 /1 to 6/1 have about 400 euro riding on it, may well have a good few euro e/w double on whyso mayo with lami or exotic dancer
