I hope to fit a GSM control for my avenue gate. All sim card packages I can find involve a monthly fee, and a package of voice calls , and data , which I would not need.

If anyone can advise me of a sim card with no package attached, and only requiring a top up once or twice a year , I will be grateful.

Thanks, nodo12.

I got a Vodafone SIM for exactly this purpose. I think I paid a tenner for it. I have to put a fiver on it every six months to ensure it stays active. I'm not sure if there is any way that I can 'spend' this credit that I slowly build up.

It might be worthwhile looking at other networks as I have heard about people (youngsters!) spending their excess credit. Not sure what they spend it on...might be music downloads or X box points or similar??

Thanks gianni . I think that Vodafone SIM is exactly what I need. Thanks for information, nodo12.
