Thought this would have been discussed already but couldn't find it.

Does anyone know what the cheapest car going in the scrappage deal is?

I have a 10 year old car that's not going to last much longer.
It's the 2nd car in the family so not fussed about what replaces it.

Thanks

Do you have any preferences at all?

Interior cabin space
Boot space
Engine size
Motor tax
dimensions of the vehicle?

it would be easier for people to make recommendation with this info.

(as an aside, my car is 11 years old and is running perfectly and i expect to get several years out of it! :))

Thanks for the reply.

No preferences at all but it has to be low emmissions to be part of the scrappage scheme so motor tax will be low based on that.

Something like a Ford Ka or a Renault Clio I guess.

It's only to be used as a 2nd car so really am not fussed on anything apart from price. Cheaper the better.

(btw I've had cars older than 10 years that ran fine but the current one isn't one of them)

The Clios start at 9k with the deal, but this is just the ethanol models, and there aren't enough stations selling this yet to consider purchasing unless you are close to one and only take on local journeys. Petrol/diesel models start in the region of 3k+ more.
