Motor Cheapest provider for car insurance with L driver on policy

Insured last year with no nonsense for €1287 - €1000 for the learner and €287 for myself and my husband. Just got renewal through and they're quoting €1483.70 for exactly the same risk. Nothing has changed, husband has full NCB and we paid extra for windscreen cover and to protect the NCB.

DD has her test at the end of October, (3rd time lucky :) )

Can anyone advise of a cheaper insurance company or should I just suck it up?
 
Just shop around and even if you don't get a better price, tell them you did on the phone and they'll match it more than likely. They put the prices up automatically as a lot of people will end up not bothering to shop around and so they make on those what they lose on the people who do.
