I just had my Hitatchi Deskstar 320GB destroyed when it decided to start clicking - the drive was nearly full, so I have a lot of downloading to do!
Since this happened I'm now going to stick to spending more than €90 on a 320GB HD (what the Hitatchi cost at PC World), so my data will be somewhat safe.
I would like to know if there is anywhere close to the Dublin area that sells Western Digital harddrives (looking at reviews they seem to be the best), or maybe somewhere online that I don't know about? I do know places like Komplett probably sell them (haven't checked) but I would rather walk into a shop and buy one that I can check before purchasing. Any advice will be of help on this because I want to know if I am going for the right type of drive. And by the way, it must be an SATA drive, because that's all my system supports atm.
