Cheap Sun Holiday suitable for five year old

Hi about to bring my son on his first sun holiday. It will have to be the last week of July but the prices seem a bit steep for my budget.

Firstly has anyone recommendations for an active five year old (he loves rollercoasters, amusement parks etc but don't think he would be too into the kiddies clubs)

Secondly should i hold off for a last minute booking? I looked into booking flights and apartment separately but it seems to be as dear if not dearer.

Salou in Spain is excellent for this age group - plenty to do for the big kids as well.

yes would go along with Salou-big waterpark nearby and at night plenty of amusements on promonade.Used to base our hols on what the kids could do now they are grown up we look for places without kids!
