can anyone recomend cheap car hire as I'm going to Leeds on 10th feb and need car for 2 days,(did get a quote from budget for €85 for a ford focus + £24 for car seat for infant) but was wondering has anyone got a cheaper quote

I generally find Enterprise hard to beat - www.enterprise.com - however they don't always have airport locations (the don't at Leeds Bradford Airport) so might not be so useful if you're flying in.
Why not try this crowd [SIZE=-1]www.europcar.co.uk. I have used them on a number of occasions in the UK and found them great value. I have also leaded that if I book one of the smaller sixed cars I have alwasy gotten a decent upgrade as they only have a certain number of the smaller ones. Oh and they have pick up at leeds airport!
