Hi there, ill try to keep my story short.

Basically, a good friend did some work for an individual, job was done, invoice wrote out, customer came to collect and handed over a cheque.

He had done work for this guy before so didnt see a problem taking the cheque.

5 days later got it back from the bank etc, rang the guy-got the whole it must be a mistake, ill drop it up next week etc.

Fast forward 3 months still no sign so he rang only to be informed by the guy that the cash had been left in his porch a few days previous when nobody was there.

The customer claims to have dropped it in, my mate never got it so whats the next step.........

Cops, Solicitor, Small Claims Court Etc...

Got to add that its not a huge sum of money but at this stage its more about principal...

Thanks

Assuming he did leave it then it was stolen. One should presumably inform the Gardai and have them take complete and detailed statement from the individual who left the money and the householder. His story could also be corroborated by any CCTV from neighbours etc. It's also a bit sloppy of him to have left the cash and not make sure to get a receipt.

There is also the possibility that this is just his way out:rolleyes: nah never, he wouldn't do that would he.

Im 95% certain it wasnt stolen, his house is on its own and the time it was dropped meant nobody should have been hanging around...

How do these people look at themselves in the mirror!!!!
