Charlestown Place, Finglas, Dublin 11 (Shopping Centre)

Hi

I had a viewing for a 2-bed apartment. Maybe I'll put a deposit down, cos the apartments are really nice.

But, any guys out there who can tell me sth. about people , neighbours, ... any experiences or other thoughts ?

I have a friend who lives in St. Margarets (about a KM from the shopping centre complex) and he likes the development where he is.
I've been to visit him a few times and it seems okay.
There seems to be a mixed group of people in the area.... alot of young professionals, a good few renters (alot of people bought into this area as investors when it was built) and a couple of social / affordable houses.
There's definately no MAJOR negative points with this area.
One thing I'd think about - is this area going to be served by the metro to the airport? If not, maybe look for a development that is on the route (assuming that makes sence for your work location).

I have worked in the Bord Gais building beside it.

The Lord mayor around the corner looks like a decent boozer.

Seems ok.

High up enough not to flood.

Not much in the shopping centre but handy enough for town, airport and ikea of course.
