i.e. via the 'other channels'

You can buy a card known as a yellow card from Sky in the UK. You get all the BBC channels, all the ITV channels, Channel 4 and Channel 5. These cards are often for sale in the buy and sell and ebay but i would be wary of buying them from any unofficial source.

You get itv and bbc without the sky ftv card as theses channels are fta. As far as i know the channels you get with the card are channel 4, five and $ky3. Five are launching new channels shortly so you might get theses as well.

I bought one of these cards a good few years ago for C5 while Liverpool were playing in the UEFA cup, but I haven't used it since then. Any idea how much they are selling for on the open market as I might as well move it on to someone who would get use out of it, cos its burning a hole in my tv cabinet at the moment
