Can the site be changed to the correct time i.e. BST and change automatically to GMT in october. It is currently set at GMT and is a little irritating.

The time is currently configure to be GMT with daylight saving so that's GMT + 1 at the moment which should yield the correct time for Ireland. See the bottom of the page.
All times are GMT +1. The time now is 12:41 PM.
vBulletin only allows GMT based times to be set with or without daylight saving. It does not deal with other standard timezone settings (e.g. IST, BST, CET etc.). If I am missing your point perhaps you could clarify?

I've logged in now at 12:56pm and its telling me I've logged in at 10.56am.

At the bottom of the page it states that all times are GMT minus 1

Thats what I was looking for but at the bottom of the page it says

All times are GMT. The time now is 12:18 PM.

Any idea what is happening

My two cents for what it's worth. I've noticed this here too before today, the time was an hour out then correct the next time. Perhaps the internal batteries need changing :) :p

I have no idea why different people would ostensibly and variably beseeing GMT-1, GMT and GMT+1. vBulletin is definitely configured for GMT with daylight saving enabled (i.e. +1 at the moment) right now and the time stated on the page is completely generated on the server side and self contained in the page HTML and not at all dependent on local configuration settings on the users's PC. All I can suggest is clearing your cache and/or pressing Ctrl-F5 to force a refresh and see if that makes any difference.

Just thought of one possibility - when you are logged in click on the User CP link at the left hand side of the top of the page navigation bar (top left of the page) to access the User Control Panel, click on Edit Options and scroll down to the end and check that the Date and Time Options are set appropriately for your account profile. Maybe these are set such that they are adjusting the time displayed?

Good stuff. Hopefully the User Control Panel settings explain matters for others affected by this too.

When I do as you suggest I select from the drop down list and Chose GMT +1 and save I get the following

I tried it twice to make sure

All times are GMT +2. The time now is 06:53 PM.

My own profile is set as follows:

Time Zone: (GMT) Western Europe Time, London, Lisbon, Casablanca
DST Correction: DST corrections always on
and the times appear correctly at the end of the page

All times are GMT +1. The time now is 06:13 PM.
Why are you setting it to GMT + 1?

Sorry - we have no control over the actual hosting server time and three minutes margin of error is presumably something that most people can live with. I'm surprised that the server does not seem to be doing network time synchronisation but I'm not that worried about it to be honest. I'm more concerned with people at least seeing the correct hour in local time by having their profile settings configured appropriately. Anybody still having problems in this respect or can we close this issue?

When I set the time to GMT +1 I thought that this may have been the problem. Instead it put the time out by 2 hours which is correct. Don't know why I am having problems with GMT

The time is still out by 1 hour.

At the end of the setting page

All times are GMT. The time now is 09:39 AM.

The correct time is 10.39 AM

I don't understand your post above. Can you simply post your timezone and DST settings without trying to cut and paste them please? If you set them according to my post above and still have problems then please post back with more details.

Its now sorted. Many thanks for your patience.
Please ignore previous post.

The defaulf setting was Automatically Detect Daylight Saving
Changed this to DST Correction: DST corrections always on

Now showing correct time

It looks like you never enabled the Automatically Detect DST Settings option. When I checked your user registration profile in the vBulletin Administrative Control Panel this option was not enabled. I have enabled it now so perhaps you can check again if the time is displaying correctly now (bar the problem mentioned above with it running three minutes fast)? Thanks.

Sorry - post crossed with yours. Good to see that it seems to be sorted now. If anybody else has time display issues please check your profile settings as explained above first.
