My specimen signature with banks etc is that which I had when I set up such accounts in my teens. Basically it is my name written in normal handwritting.
Over time I have developed a signature but don't use it when signing bank documentation, credit card receipts, writing cheques etc in case it causes problem. So I basicallly write rather than sign my name on documents.
Odd query but is there any way for me to get the bank to update my specimen signature?

1, I know that this not as much an issue now that chip and pin has been introduced.
2) Yes - they do on occasion check signatures. I have been pulled up on it before by a bank.
