Changing Ryanair Flight destination and date

I booked a one way Ryanair flight to destination X.
I now want to change it to a different destination on a different date.. actually in a different country.
Is there anything that can be done to recover some of the money or offset the costs of one against the other?
 
Nope not a hope. Book a new ticket.
Ryanair only allow minor changes such as name change withun a short time frame.
 
How much was the ticket ! The cost of changing will always be highter than booking a new flight. You may get the taxes paid back, generally thought the admin cost wipes out the point of this.
 
It was about 130 including a check in bag.. I dont have the breakdown of taxes etc in the email confirmation.

Looks like I will just have to cut my losses

No, have you checked their website?
They will charge you a flight change fee, and the difference in flight costs, but you can change flights.
