Hi All,
I have a failed house alarm sensor on one on the windows which I've been quoted at over €150 to replace from the oringinal installers (call out charge / rural location blah de blah )... same sensor was replaced 3 years ago.
Just wondering if anyone on AAM has replaced one of these themselves - it's a "Shock Sensor with Magnetic Contact" type. If so, can you give me specific details on what you did - just a matter of re-wiring new sensor?
At the moment, it's "dead" - as in the cover can be opened, main alarm panel doesn't report "tamper" as it should be reporting. I'm excluding that zone at the moment when setting the alarm, but don't want to continue to do this. I don't have the engineers code.
