I'd contact the council re this one.... best to get 100% right information. I do know however if you buy as a single applicant and you then want your partner to go on it, this wouldnt be possible then. Reason being is you go the property on your money and finance and anyone else is unable to benifit from this due to tax reasons. Even If you bought them out its the same thing., to have them on the deeds woudl not be possible if you were not married, well it could be but you woudl only be aloud to put them on the deeds up to a certain percentage, you can only give a gift to someone once in a life time of up to a certain amount before they have to pay tax on it.
