Hi,
I am changing DSL providers. The first provider says they have completed the cancellation process. The new DSL provider digiweb say that the "port is still not free" and is still associated with my initial provider. How do I get this changed? Who do I talk to in eircom?
Thanks

The company you are changing over to should be able to supply you with a "DSL Transfer Form". This should allow them to take over the line from the current crowd.
I'm in the process of changing from UTV to BT and BT sent this "DSL Transfer Form" along with the Broadband application form.
I sent both back 5 to 6 weeks ago and so far have just received the BT Modem. My line is still on UTV. BT are very hard to get through to.

You may need to get your Cancellation Number (a numberic number starting or possibly ending in "CH", if I recall correctly) from your previour supplier; you can then provide it to the new ISP. I had to do this when moving from eircom to BT.

This proves that you have been butted off the old network, so to speak.
