Hi,
I have a visa credit card with AIB.I wish to move it over to BOI. What is the easiest way to do this?

Currently changing mine due to reward scheme. Contact AIB, then contact BOI. Make sure no overlap on having two cards or you'll pay the gov levy of €30 twice. Very easy.

Would it not be better to contact BoI first to make sure that they will give a credit card before contacting AIB to cancel the existing one?

Do you mean that AIB are withdrawing their "Platinum" reward scheme or that BoI are introducing one? I don't see anything about it on their website.
