I currently have credit card with AIB. I was made redundant a couple of months ago so trying to look at my finances. I pay 250 euro a month of credit card but sure approx 60 euro of that is interest.
So was going to change to halifax cc, who offer 0% interest for 6 months and try and pay off as much as I can. Got the application form and I have to fill in employment details. Upon seeing this, I rang Halifax and they said that I wouldnt be able to get cc.
Now with the application form you also have to provide bank statements. I have statements in hubbie and my name and on statement it states my hubbie companys name and his wages going through. Do u think I should chance it and fill in his employment details under my name and see what happens. Would they check it out?
PS. Cant apply in hubbie's name and have me as an additional name as it is I that needs to transfer from current cc and it is only my name on that card.
