Changing Broadband providers - refunding unused days?

I changed broadband providers and within 3 days of requesting the changeover on the phone, my original broadband provider cut off the service. This was about 10 days into the billing/rental period. Seeing that I'm paying €40 a month, am I entitled to approximately 2/3rds of this money back?
 
In short - Yes

You should get a final bill/statement that will charge you pro-rata for the last 'month'.

That is providing you are not under contract with your original provider then you may be liable to pay the remainder of the contract.
