Change of tax details after marriage

Got Married last year and got the tax sorted for 2005. But I got my details back about 4 weeks ago from the tax man for 2006. But my employer hasn't updated my SRCOP yet.

1. How long will it take for my employer to update my details. ( Wages not handled in the factory I work in they are in a different part of the country - main office)

2. Will they revise for the full year or will I have to get my tax reviewed next year

Check with your payroll section. Revenue normally send out the revised details a few day in advance of you receiving it. If they have not received the revised details contact revenue (email is an option) and ask them to forward details again. Check that they have the correct name and address. With large payroll section thia may be done electronically.

Any changes to tax credits and SRCOP will be back dated to 1/1/06 unless you are taxed on Week 1 / Month 1 Basis which will be mentioned on the SRCOP form.
