Change of job,? break in service

I have worked as a HSE employee -scientist for 14 years.I am now taking up the same role in another hospital at the same grade. I anticipate a gap of 1-2 weeks between leaving one job and starting the other.
Will this have any impact on my pension entitlements. From what I can see a more than 26 week break in service deems you a new entrant but apart from that the information is vague. I have contacted the superannuation sections of each hospital but got auto replies saying it could be some time before my query is answered. Anyone been through this?.

As long as you have less than a 26 week break you will remain on the HSE scheme, once it's a HSE hospital. Is it?

Are you pre 2004?

You should discuss with the department issuing you the contract, they should know the correct pension scheme.
