Change light bulb in oven - problem

Bulb has gone in the light in my oven, checked instructions and seems simple to change but the glass cover will not screw off, seems fairly wedged on. Oven is a Bosch, few years old, light is on the roof of the oven and I kinda need this light as I bake a lot and continually opening the door for a peek is not the best for nicely risen cakes.

Any suggestions as to how I could loosen this cover?

I don't have a Bosch but the cover on my oven light just slips off - you know ease it one way & it slips out, could that be the problem?

I also have a Bosch oven (HBN 1315.0 B), and have tried just now to remove the cover and it is not budging. The diagram in the manual is a bit confusing - it says turn anti-clockwise to remove but the diagram seems to indicate clockwise with the arrow. I'm almost afraid to over twist in case the glass breaks and it is quite awkward to get a good grip on it. Hope the bulb doesn't go ! I'll have to get a manly hand to remove it I suppose!! Let me know how you get on, thanks.

I have exactly the same issue with a Whirlpool oven. I think the main problem was the pyrolysis, which blew the bulb and now I cannot even replace it.

Please someone, help us out!

I have a De Dietrich oven for quite a few years now and thought a few years ago when the turkey was cooking on the 25th Dec  that the oven had blown because there was a loud bang from the oven. It turned out that the bulb had blown and the oven was still working away.

Got repair guy out with another problem a few months later and asked him to replace the bulb. It wouldn't budge and he said the heat does that to them. Might be the pyroclean getting so hot. So no light in oven other than getting the whole unit replaced and as far as I can recall it was dear enough to purchase and that was before fitting.

You could always ask www.mastercare.ie how much it would cost for your particular oven but it would probably take an expert if the unit has seized up rather than you just fitting the new unit yourself.

It's not looking good! Have tried the manly hand, he couldn't budge it either. Have tried it clockwise and anti-clockwise but no go. It moves a tiny bit each way but I think that is the whole fitting moving rather than the bulb cover.
