CGT return

Bit of a quandary that I'm sure is manageable. I sold a rental property recently. Was registered on ROS for rental income. Phoned revenue when sale of house closed and asked how to go about doing cgt return. Was advised to deregister asap and submit cg1 via myaccount. All fine except my accountant said they'd use ROS to submit return. Is that possible now I've deregistered? Thx

Yes, CGT registration has nothing to do with income tax registration and in any event is easily arranged.

Let your accountant worry about it.

Why not follow Revenue's advice and deregister on ROS and submit a CG1 form via My Account ? Why pay an accountant for doing something basic that you could easily do yourself ?
