I suffered a loss on Eircom shares. At the time I was a PAYE worker and did not submit a return recording the loss as I did not realise it could be carried forward to offset against future gains.
I have lost all documentation but intend to contact Computer Share Services who I think can supply me with information.
Do I have to submit a prior year return in order to claim the loss and so be able to offset against a gain for the current year?
