I am completing form CG1 following the sale of a house in 2023. I paid capital gains tax in 2023 and have been informed by revenue that I must now file a CG1 form. Where on the form can I include expenses incurred as a result of the acquisition and sale of the house (solicitors fees, estate agent fees)? Thanks so much for any help!

Those details are not included in the CG1 form.

You need to calculate your Capital Gains Tax liability and include extracts from your calculation on the form.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate the help! So if the aggregate consideration is the sale price of the house, do I not need to include the purchase price or the acquisition, disposal and enhancement costs? If this is the case, I will just be stating the chargeable gains without providing justification for my calculation. Is this correct?

But keep a record of your calculation and backup documents in case Revenue ask for a justification of the amount
