Central hotel in Bath? Suitable for single female

hi all,

I'm hoping to travel to Bath, UK for a long weekend later this year.

I will be travelling alone and want to be somewhere central and safe.

From looking up tripadvisor and google, it would appear that many hotels in Bath are in fact guesthouses or b&b type places.

Is there a Jurys/Marriott/holiday inn in Bath? If so, what is it like?

Any other recommendations of things to do/see while I'm there?

Hi Bluebean, Did you go to Bath in the end? and if so what was it like and did you find a suitable hotel? I may be going in February and would like to know how what you thought about it.
