As the tracker people were there recently, I suspect that they will be discussing issues more generally such as mortgage rates and dual pricing in insurance.

can the public be present to see whats going on ? I guess not if its in a "room"

But if you really want to attend in person, you can do that also. Ask a TD or Senator in advance to sign you in.

The TV is much better though, as they can be delayed or even postponed.

I hope they ask him about stuff that is not consumer-related. For example:

  • Authorisation and supervision of financial firms post-Brexit
  • Economic outlook
  • Health of banks' balance sheets

You can read transcripts of Committee hearings from 2006 where the Regulator was obsessed with consumer issues which in hindsight were trivial compared to the financial stability risks that were being ignored.
