CE Scheme Criteria

HI, i am hoping someone here will know this, thanks in advance

I was on illness benefit for almost 2 years....got better and then went to JSB which i am currently claiming for 9 months I am hoping this makes me eligible to apply for CE jobs now adding the 2 years of IB and JSB - would anyone know if I am correct or not.

Eligibility Criteria for Participants

The criteria for participating on the Community Employment programme are based on age and length of time in receipt of various social welfare payments. In general, the Part-time Integration Option is for people of 25 or over who are receiving social welfare payments for 1 year or more, and people of 18 years or over in receipt of disability-related payments.

You can use the time that you were on Illness Benefit towards your 1 year qualifying period, provided that at least half of the qualifying period was on the relevant payment. This means, that if you are qualifying as a Jobseeker, you can rely on your Illness Benefit provided that you have been on Jobseekers for at least 6 months!
