cctv equipment wanted

i am looking to put in 4 maybe 5 cameras outside my house and am looking for places to get cameras plus dvr recorders.Anybody got any sugguestions on suppliers.
 
SKS in Robin hood ind. estate (goggle them) ,they do work for the guards and are very knowledgeable in all aspects of security ,I used them for years. If i were you i would look at a hard drive based recording system with digital cams which can be analyzed in detail by the guards if a serious incident occurs. (no affiliation to SKS )

I'm thinking of installing a security camera to the front of my house. I would like to be able to record images to a dedicated hard drive.
Worried about who is calling to the house during the day, while we're away.
Do you mind me asking what set up you went for and if you're satisfied with it?
The rfconcepts website is mindboggling, and I don't know where to start.
