Catalytic converter

Hi we just had our 2004 Ford Focus recently serviced and we needed a new catalytic converter, however since we had the new 1 fitted we have noticed the fuel consumption has gone up in the car, was wondering if there could be any connection or would it be something else, would appreciate any advice given, thanks!
 
Not sure about yours but I had mine changed in May and am getting 60-80 more miles from a fill- depends on the driving I'm doing. 99 Astra FYI
 
your long term fuel trim may have to be reset ,and kam memory may need reseting.probably had a coil gone at some stage and wasnt reset
 
Yes ford jedi we had to replace the coil about 4 months ago, is it a big job 2 sort out then? Thanks
