CAT & CGT due on same event

If I have a CAT & a CGT liability arises from the same event, is it just a straight forward case of netting them off against one another to get my total tax due?

A transfers property to B.

A will have a CGT liability. B will have a CAT liability.

CGT liability is reduced by CAT due.

If B sells within 2 yrs, no offset available.
