Cast Iron Fire place

I have a cottage that is 100 years old. Recently I removed the cast Iron fireplace from the sitting room. I'm wondering where is the best place to sell it. It is black and ornate. It looks like something that would be worth money

you have what! I am sorry to say this but origanal features like that add value to a property - even within a bedroom. There was an article in yesterdays times where a designer had converted a bedroom in a georgian house to a bathroom and the feature was the origanal fireplace.

Original fireplaces deffo add money to the house - look up reviews of any period house on myhome & they'll have cast iron fireplaces down as a feature

At the end of the day, if she doesn't like it, she can remove it all she likes!
Honestly, its like people going and buying Gucci garment and wear it even if it doesn't suit them!
She was asking where to sell it, not whether she can keep it!
Yellow pages list some places that do second hand fire places trades. Worth checking out.
