Casio Xlim Z70 stopped working

Got a new digital camera for a special birthday in January. Took it on hols in Jan, no problem. Have used it and charged it several times since then.

Took it on a week away this week and the camera just stopped working Thought it was the battery but charged it and nothing. Camera still won't turn on

Am hoping the person who got it for me has some sort of proof of purchase and can take it back but I am soooooooooo angry over this. This was a special week and the camera died. It wasn't dropped or didn't have anything spilled on it or anything.

Anyone else have problems with this camera?
